Ah,the sound of rushing waters.....

Have you seen this grate in any of your travels? Sometimes there is water running through it and sometimes not. When water is running it has a scent of chlorine. The video was taken with the water running. So do you know where it is located and what this is? Well read on...

It's location is on the Spring Trail in Lambert Park just above the entry onto the trail from the Bowery. The grate is in a water line the flows out of the buried culinary water tank that is up the trail. If the tank is an overflow condition it releases some of the water through this line into the pressurized irrigation system. Thus that is why it not heard all the time and because the tank water is after the chlorination treatment it has a slight smell of chlorine! Now you know!
